Lismore & Tweed Mental Health Units

Brad Mayes was the Construction Manager that was a part of the team that delivered this project. The works involved an upgrade of the existing mental health units at both the Lismore and Tweed Hospitals. The upgrade for Lismore consisted of light refurbishments of the courtyards, kitchens, bathrooms, entry reception, laundry, dirty utility and corridors. Whereas, Tweed Hospital consisted of an extension to a family room and a gymnasium, and upgrades to the courtyard areas. Both projects were carried out in a secure and live environment with workfaces being accessed from external areas where possible to minimise the impact on patients.
